Support the Mission of Holy Family Cristo Rey in Birmingham at our 2025 Rey of Hope Gala

Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School delivers a career focused, college-preparatory education within the Catholic tradition for students with limited economic resources. Our rigorous academics combined with four years of corporate work experience provide our scholars with the skills and networks required to succeed in college and beyond.

Since 2007, Holy Family Cristo Rey has partnered with Birmingham businesses, organizations, non-profits, churches, communities, and individuals to remove institutional barriers, decrease economic inequality and advance racial equity. Cristo Rey's distinctive model sets young men and women on the road to college, career, and success as Birmingham’s future community, faith, and business leaders.

We hope that you will join us at the 2025 Rey of Hope Gala as we celebrate the accomplishments of our scholars and renew our commitment to transforming lives through education. Your support of the Rey of Hope Gala will empower students to overcome obstacles, achieve academic excellence, and develop into the future leaders of Birmingham.

We are especially excited to welcome you to the Passionist Summer Institute 2025, a transformative journey of faith, learning, and formation. This year’s theme, "How to Be Good at Being Human," will be guided by Mr. Paul Wadell.

Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. He is Professor Emeritus of Theology and Religious Studies at St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI. He holds a B.A. from Bellarmine University in Louisville, an M.Div. and M.A. from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, and a Ph.D. in Christian Ethics from the University of Notre Dame. He has authored  several books on Christian ethics and spiritual formation.

To fully experience the depth of this journey, we encourage all participants to commit to attending all sessions throughout the week. Each session is thoughtfully designed to build upon the last, offering a cohesive and enriching experience that deepens our understanding and strengthens our spiritual growth. The program is designed to foster relationships and meaningful discussions. Being present for the full week allows participants to journey together, share insights, and grow as a community.
